Alexandre Arnault is joining Nike’s Board of Directors at a time when the company is working through a pretty important stretch. He officially joined the 12-member board on September 16, 2026.

Arnault, 34, is currently Deputy CEO of Moët Hennessy, the wine and spirits business under LVMH. He moved into that role in February 2025 and is also the son of LVMH Chairman and CEO Bernard Arnault.

Before that, he spent four years at Tiffany & Co. as Executive Vice President of Product, Communications and Industrial. He also had a major role at RIMOWA, helping with LVMH’s acquisition of the luggage company before later serving as CEO for four years. Earlier in his career, he worked on digital projects and technology investments across LVMH.

A lot of Arnault’s experience has been tied to brands where product, image and consumer interest all matter. During his time around RIMOWA and Tiffany, both companies became more involved with fashion, collaborations and younger customers.

That kind of background fits pretty naturally with Nike. The company has leaned on collaborations, athlete partnerships, limited releases and sneaker culture for years, while also trying to sharpen its product lineup and rebuild parts of its wholesale business.

Arnault joins the board during a period of change for Nike. The company is also leaving the S&P 100 after 18 years in the index, though it remains part of the broader S&P 500.

Nike CEO Elliott Hill said Arnault’s experience with brand building, digital transformation and innovation could be useful as the company works toward its next stage of growth. Arnault’s first term on the board will run through Nike’s 2027 annual shareholders meeting.
