Kobe Bryant’s legendary night at Rucker Park is getting another sneaker release, this time on the Nike Kobe 9 Elite Low Protro. After first appearing as an EYBL Player Exclusive in 2025, the colorway has now surfaced through official Nike images, signaling a wider launch.
The shoe comes dressed mostly in dark blue Flyknit, with Aqua Mint and light orange adding contrast around the heel. The biggest references to Bryant’s Rucker Park appearance are tucked behind the tongue, where embroidery reads July 18, 2002 along with 155th St. and 8th Ave., the location of the famous New York basketball court. “Straight To The Court” is also printed near the heel.
Bryant’s appearance at Rucker Park remains one of the more memorable moments from his early career. Fresh off helping the Lakers win their third straight NBA championship, Kobe showed up at the Harlem court and quickly became part of its streetball history. Rucker announcer Hannibal famously gave him the nickname “Lord of the Rings” during the event.
Nike already revisited the same moment earlier this month with the Kobe Bryant x Air Force 1 Low Protro “Rucker Park”, which recreated the white and orange look of the Air Force 1 Mid Bryant wore that day.
The Nike Kobe 9 Elite Low Protro “EYBL” is expected to release during Fall 2026 in men’s sizing for $210.
