Nike Prime Closet Debuts in San Francisco For Super Bowl Weekend

Published on

As San Francisco filled with Super Bowl energy, Nike quietly turned Union Square into a throwback locker room. That setting introduced the Nike Prime Closet San Francisco, an invite-style showcase hosted inside Shoe Palace that centered Deion Sanders and the lineage of his Trainer line. The timing tied neatly to the city’s football history, giving the activation an unmistakable local pull.

Racks inside the space highlighted rare Player Exclusive Air Diamond Turfs, Air Diamond Turf 2s, and Air DT Max ’96 Lows, many never intended for retail. The presentation treated each pair like an artifact, reinforcing how deeply Sanders’ archive still informs Nike’s retro strategy.

A new Nike Air Diamond Turf 2 “Reverse” surfaced alongside the PEs, flipping classic 49ers tones across the familiar silhouette. Materials stayed true to the original template, but the color inversion signaled a more playful approach to heritage storytelling.

Access remained tightly controlled, with the “Reverse” pair available only through Shoe Palace Union Square and no confirmed wider rollout.
