UPDATE 12/10/25: PUMA is gearing up to release LaMelo Ball’s MB.05 “Metallic” on December 12th, priced at $130 and dropping through PUMA.com, the PUMA app, the NYC flagship, and major retailers like Foot Locker, Kids Foot Locker, and Champs Sports. The pair leans into Melo’s bold style with a full chrome finish, iridescent hits, and signature details throughout. It features an engineered mesh upper with metallic overlays, molded wing straps at the heel, and a molded skull and “1” graphic on the outsole.

The PUMA MB.05 “Shine” is the latest installment in LaMelo Ball’s collection of loud, alien-inspired silhouettes.

This colorway plays up a metallic silver base with reptilian-like textured overlays and plays on Melo’s “Not From Here” mythology that’s been central to the MB series narrative since the MB.01.

A 3D winged strap crosses the laces and that detail is the primary design element that sets the shoe apart. It screams comic book bubble – loud, cocky, and not afraid to stand out. Volt and infrared accents add dynamic contrast, something we’ve seen Melo lean into on several of his past releases.

On-court performance remains focused on NITRO foam cushioning for responsive play on the feet of agile guards who shift their pace frequently.

The PUMA MB.05 “Metallic” will release December 12 for $130 on PUMA.com and select retailers.
