Of course no list is definitive, and there will also be an argument to why a player should or shouldn’t be included.

Below we give you a few players to select from on who you think is the current best player in the NBA today.

Take a look at these names and be sure to cast your vote below and let us know your thoughts in the comments section.

2016 NBA Best Players

Paul George, Indiana Pacers

There’s no doubt that the return of Paul George was not only good for the NBA, but it was good for the Indiana Pacers. He carried them all year and was impressive enough to lead them into the NBA Playoffs.

2016 NBA Best Players

Damian Lillard, Portland Trail Blazers

Damian Lillard is one of top guards in the league, and with his quality play throughout the entire season he was able to lead the Trail Blazers to a playoff berth in what was expected to be a rebuilding year for Portland.

2016 NBA Best Players

Draymond Green, Golden State Warriors

Draymond Green is the heart of the Golden State Warriors, and while being the lead dog of the team, he’s a big factor to why the Warriors could end up being back-to-back NBA Champions.

Kevin Durant

Kevin Durant, Oklahoma City Thunder

While Kevin Durant is one of the best scorers in the game today, he never looked as good as he did in 2016. One game away from going to his second trip to the NBA Finals, KD will always be in the talks of one of the top players in the game. The next question for him is where he’s going to play next season. Will he stay or will he go?

Russell Westbrook

Russell Westbrook, Oklahoma City Thunder

Russell Westbrook had one of his best seasons this year, while almost averaging a triple-double a game. He may have took a back seat to Steph Curry in the voting poll for MVP, but he played so well this season that some say he leapfrogged Thunder teammate Kevin Durant as the number one ace.

Kawhi Leonard

Kawhi Leonard, San Antonio Spurs

Kawhi Leonard might never get the attention he deserves due to his quiet personality. But that’s just part of the all-business attitude of the San Antonio Spurs. While being a low-key guy, Kawhi is one player every opponent fears to play against.

Dwayne Wade

Dwyane Wade, Miami Heat

There’s no doubt that The Flash returned this season, as Wade found the fountain of youth. Don’t let his age fool you, as he proved that he can still get the job done at a high level.

LeBron James

LeBron James, Cleveland Cavaliers

LeBron James will also be in the talks of the best player in the NBA, he’ll even go down as one of the greatest to every play the game due to his versatile game. But if he can’t win a championship for the Land, it might hurt him in the long-run of being known as one of those greatest to ever do it.

Steph Curry

Stephen Curry, Golden State Warriors

Maybe the best shooter we’ve ever seen. Steph Curry is already a back-to-back MVP and is looking to become a back-to-back NBA Champion.
