With tonight’s historic victory, the University of Connecticut women’s basketball team proudly sits atop college elite with its 11th (and fourth consecutive) national championship.
The win also cements head coach Geno Auriemma’s 11th national championship, surpassing former UCLA coach John Wooden’s previous record of 10.
To commemorate the 11 championships, Nike releases an official t-shirt to match, as well as a special edition Nike KD 8.
This KD 8 is a NIKEiD design that features a White, Grey, Navy and Red color scheme that includes Metallic Gold Nike Swoosh logos. Other details include “National Champs” embroidered on the inner tongue while the “11” is seen on the heel that celebrates the team’s record nation championships.
