Jumpmanbostic from youtube recently challenged our writer and video host, Rashone Bryant, to the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge. It’s seems that this challenge has taken the internet and social media by storm.

What is the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge?

It’s a campaign to raise awareness for ALS.

Often referred to as “Lou Gehrig’s Disease.”, It’s a progressive neurodegenerative disease that affects nerve cells in the brain and the spinal cord. Motor neurons reach from the brain to the spinal cord and from the spinal cord to the muscles throughout the body. The progressive degeneration of the motor neurons in ALS eventually leads to their death.

So its pretty serious stuff and nothing to be taken lightly. While it is fun to participate in the challenge, let’s not forget it’s true intent.
