The Nike Kobe 10 “Silk Road” has been linked to the Silk Road between East and West for inspiration, and features a mix of different cultures, to show the contribution to the world around Kobe basketball – just like the Kobe 9 “Silk Road” colorway.
Nike Kobe 10 Silk Road – Colorway Details
Spending his childhood years in Italy, Kobe Bryant enjoyed traveling throughout Greater China as an adult. His connections to both the European and Asian continents led Nike designers to think about the legendary Silk Road, the inspiration for the new Kobe 10 “Silk” shoe.
The “Silk Road” edition of the Nike Kobe 10 is dressed in a mixture of Merlot, Villain Red, Total Orange and Metallic Gold color scheme. The shoe features a Total Orange open-weave textile upper that is inspired by the pattern and strength of sharkskin. Merlot is found on the tongue, back heel and throughout the inner graphic tongue, while Villain Red is displayed on the left back heel. A Metallic Gold Nike Swoosh hits the side panels, while sitting atop a speckled Total Orange sole.
Nike Kobe 10 Silk Road – Release Date
Look for the Nike Kobe 10 “Silk Road” to officially release on Saturday, March 21st, 2015 at select Nike Basketball retailers. The retail price tag is set at $180 USD.
