Michael Jordan always had his hand invloed in designing the newest Air Jordan silhouette. Today, we get a rare footage of Michael Jordan giving a helping hand to designing the Air Jordan 6 with Tinker Hatfield.
One of the key parts of this video is where Michael Jordan tells Tinker to remove the toe cap overlay that was previously on the Air Jordan 5 and change it to a clear toe. Tinker went on to agree and stated, “That’s part of our whole thing with you, too, is not only does it work better, but it always looks better.”
The end result of the design help get Michael Jordan past the Detroit Pistons and win his first NBA Championship against the LA Lakers in 1991.
