While Kevin Durant is getting ready for his NBA Playoff run, Nike Basketball has already unveiled the shoes he’ll be wearing, which is a wild version of his current signature shoe, the Nike KD 8 Elite.
Despite winning a championship or not, Kevin Durant’s season doesn’t end there as he will begin to focus on representing his country as team USA competes for Gold in the 2016 Rio Olympics. During his Olympic run this summer, he’ll be debuting his newest signature shoe, the Nike KD 9.
The silhouette was unveiled in New York City on Wednesday, and takes a more simple approach having constructed with the popular Flyknit technology and an all-new full length Zoom Air unit. The Nike KD 9 is the most advanced model for Kevin Durant to-date.
But one of the best parts about the new model is its price tag, which is set at $150 USD. The first release will debut June 20th, with a handful of others including the “USA” KD 9 set to follow.
