Reebok has officially unveiled JJ Watt’s first signatures shoe, the JJ Watt Reebok JJ 1 for the three-time defensive player of the year.

The trainer shoe has been in the making for over a year now, and both Reebok and JJ Watt have designed the shoe from the ground up.

“J.J. has taken part in every step of the design and development to ensure the JJ I provided him with every advantage he needs to continue pushing his limits,” the company said.

The Reebok JJ 1 is also the first time Reebok introduces its Liquid Foam technology, allowing for rapid impact reaction.

“I’ve trained in many different shoes throughout my career, but there was never one that I felt was clearly the best shoe to get the job done.”, said Watt. “So I decided to build one and with the help of some great designers, I am proud to say that we have created the best training shoe I’ve ever worn. We spent over a year making sure that this shoe would perform at the highest level on any surface for any activity. Everyone has their own personal vision of greatness, the JJ simply ensures that you have the right tools for the hunt.”

Look for the JJ 1 to release on July 15th, 2016 at select Reebok retail stores, including Reebok.com. The retail price tag is set at $100 USD.
