Since Nike’s earliest days, a roster of rebel tennis players took tournaments by storm and challenged traditional court etiquette with white-clad slugfests. Those rebels came to rule and their influence remains in the hearts and minds of today’s dominant players, who continue to shake the foundation of tennis with a fierce elegance that commands respect. Tennis for the new breed isn’t a game, it’s a way of life. And to serve that multidimensoinal way of life, on and off-court, Nike Tennis starts a new chapter in its history with Nike Court.

Nike Court is fueled by the concept of future heritage. As with Nike’s overall design philosophy, this is an attitude that says you must respect the past to create the future. For Nike Court, this means challenging the tennis status quo, injecting the game with imagination and innovation.

The Nike Court collection is footwear and apparel that elebrates the tradition of tennis – a reflection of each step of a tennis athlete’s journey before, during, and after they hit the court. This on and off-court lifestyle of tennis is delivered through premium design, styling and materials that blend high performance innovation and a classic look.

Debuting during the build up to the forthcoming grand slam tournament in New York, the Nike Court Collection exemplifies a new wave of innovative tennis product with classic aesthetics and dashes of attitude. The collection updates time-honored looks in apparel and footwear including the Nike Court Apparel Collection by Fragment, two colorways of the Nike Tennis Classic by Fragment, and the Nike Court Air Tech Challenge II.

NIKE COURT APPAREL COLLECTION BY FRAGMENT

Inspired by the sport’s effortless aesthetic, Fragment Design founder Hiroshi Fujiwara’s Nike Court Apparel Collection instills a domineering attitude into the sang-froid of classic tennis silhouettes. Executed in a palette of deep navy blue or stark white, the pullover Nike Court ½ Zip Jacket, Nike Court Polo, and Nike Court Herrington Jacket all exude a quiet confidence ready to be exerted on opponents.

The Nike Court ½ Zip Jacket features a large center-pocket, white zip and Nike Court details as well as printed Fragment logo details on the sleeve and back.

The Nike Court Polo updates a Tennis mainstay with blue accents on white cotton as well as an ergonomic seams and cut for ease of movement.

Celebrating a classic court staple the Nike Court Herrington Jacket is constructed from lightweight fabric and features white zips, stitched detailing, and a mock neck.

The Nike Court Collection is set to debut on August 21, 2014 at Niketown NY, NikeLab locations around the world and on nike.com/nikelab.
