When it comes to high-top sneakers, there’s still only one name that matters. And it doesn’t belong to a designer either.
Every year we expect Air Jordans to fall off, to be killed by overexposure – as we’ve seen plenty of releases sit on shelves these past couple years. But the designers on the Jumpman team are too nimble. Every time the culture and fashion changes, they’re right there with classic Air Jordan Retros to make us salivate. Or they simply hook up with fashion designers to drop exclusive releases – like the Don C x Air Jordan 2s, or the PSNY x Air Jordan 12s.
While we don’t exactly have all the answers, nor do we know how long MJ’s reign is going to last. But no matter what Kanye says, no one’s jumping over the Jumpman anytime soon.
