Jordan Brand has recently been pushing out more frequent Air Jordan Packs and the latest one to be unveiled was the Air Jordan MTM Pack – which includes the Air Jordan 1 and Air Jordan XX9.
Generally packs tend to retail right around the $500 USD mark, which is still a lot for two pair of shoes and nine times out of ten, we only want one of the shoes housed in the pack.
This Air Jordan MTM Pack took Air Jordan Packs to a whole new playground with its retail price tag of $700 USD. The concept of the Air Jordan MTM Pack is described as a ‘Time Machine.’ Meaning, the Air Jordan 1 will be constructed with the performance woven upper of the Air Jordan XX9, and the Air Jordan XX9 will be built with premium leather taking materials commonly used on the Air Jordan 1.
The whole “Time Machine” concept is cool and all, but to charge us $700 for an Air Jordan 1 and XX9 silhouette, that’s just not right. It wouldn’t even be justified to have a pack that includes two limited never seen before Air Jordan 11 silhouettes with laser-etched detailing and built with premium materials directly from Italy. Even that wouldn’t be worth a retail price tag of $700.
At the end of the day, we all know the MTM Pack will be highly demanded and sellout. Therefore, leaving Jordan Brand once again on top.
