This Artist Turns the Air Jordan 1 Into a Michael Jordan Portrait

TYP just took sneaker art to a whole new level with his latest creative Michael Jordan art piece using halves of Air Jordan 1s.

He cut the half of several Air Jordan 1s onto a 46 x 58 inch board, then applied paint to create an image inspired by Michael Jordan from the 1985 Slam Dunk Contest. Another unique detail to the art piece are the Gold chains worn by MJ, as well as Six of the Nike Swooshes colored as a nod to the 6 NBA Championships earned by his Airness.

Take a look at the video to see exactly how the project came together, as well as a full image of the art. Be sure to follow TYP on Instagram @typcollection to see more of his work.
